Eunoia LOI

It is no real surprise that I am a great lover of all PDF patterns that I can get my hands on! 😂😂😂 My collection of patterns is immense! But I have very few woven patterns. Woven has always seemed so scary to me. They fray! And you have to double fold all their hems! And you HAVE to IRON them!! That HAVE is what scares me! I don't like to press, I don't like my iron. I use it, but I don't like it

And then there was this contest. And I won!! It was just a random drawing contest, but I still won!

I won two patterns from Eunoia Design Group! Yay!! I needed more patterns! I always need more patterns!

Yes! That shirt that Kaylie is wearing, that's the pattern I won! I was allowed to pick the patterns I wanted and because I sew for Kaylie most, I let her pick the patterns she wanted. She chose the LOI Top and I love it!! It's super pretty!! But it's made entirely out of woven!! Woven! Yes, I was terrified to sew up, but it's pretty and its a PDF pattern, so I was very happy to add it to my collection!

Not long after I downloaded this beautiful pattern Dhee from The Fab Clique announced that she would have some beautiful woven fabrics stocking in her shop!! Could I pass up the chance to sew this amazing light blue Flamingo Fun Bubble Crepe into this gorgeous Eunoia LOI?

Absolutely not!!

So, I did it! It took me 4 days to beat my anxiety, but I did it! And I cannot even believe how GORGEOUS this top is! And guess what! It wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it was going to be! Sure, I had to use my iron, but that's why I have an iron. I even used the iron to fold over my hems twice. Yep, I had to change my needles over to universal ones, but that's not hard. I used my serger to do rolled hems on the flounces.

Speaking of flounces, how pretty are they? Kaylie wanted them to be edged in black and I wasn't sure what I thought of it, but I love the way the black makes the flounces stand out. It almost makes me wish I had had a black invisible zipper for the back. Oh, the invisible zipper instructions in this pattern are wonderful!! They even show how to use a regular zipper foot to install an invisible zipper! I didn't even know that was possible!

The end results were just stunning! And Kaylie was so happy! And a happy girl makes for some very pretty pictures!

And just so you know, the second pattern I won was the LOI Cardigan. I haven't made it yet, but it is on my list! Do you have patterns that have been on your list for a long time without having been made? Or do you have a crazy huge pattern collection that you will never get to sew all of? Yeah, I am really the second! Haha!

  1. Cute top! I have this often, but haven't made it yet. I bought an invisible zipper foot for another project, but that would have come in handy before. 🙂

    1. An invisible zipper foot is such an odd little contraption. I didn't even use mine for this project, though I kind of wish I had, but I couldn't remember how to put it on. Oops! Next time!
